Positano is vastly over-hyped.  A shanty bazaar on a hillside.  Good seafood lunch though.

The Doumo contains the 'Black Madonna' and a magnificent organ.

Sorrento is very touristy, but is an excellent location for the train and ferries.
Make your base here and do not bring a car.
