16 days in Madrid, Feb/Mar 2004.  A little apartment near the centre.  We were not very impressed with this unattractive city.  The art galleries were good, especially the Thyssen.  However, like Guernica, Madrid was a disappointment.
Not a good place for food either.

We did like the Plaza Mayor.

Plaza del Sol is said to be the heart of Madrid.
