Lesser Chateaux

Home Up

We were near to the chateau Beauregard.

The beautiful grounds contained an old ruined church.

One of the most interesting was the relatively unknown chateau at Fougeres.

The superb craftsmanship and complication of the roof rafters was on show.

Further south, but worth the trip.  The chateau of Valencay was once owned by Talleyrand.

The peacocks had lost all their tail feathers,
except this chap, who had managed to hang on to one.

The geese looked as belligerent as geese always do.
