Annecy is quite a large, prosperous town on the shores of Lake Annecy. It has a
lovely, though touristy, old town.

The pigeon is by far the most intelligent bird. These swans, trying to get past
the weir, need not bother to contest that position.
They were at it for an hour and we left them to it.

Further around the lake is the village of Talloires; a jewel in a perfect setting.
There were some paragliders riding the thermals for an unnaturally long time.

The hotel restaurant Père Bise looked extremely inviting,
but we had a date with Chef Veyrat.
