The best of Albi is this area around the old bridge and its view of the amazing cathedral.

The area around the cathedral is a nasty building site that rather spoiled our visit.
The cathedral itself is built of brick and is heavily fortified.

It is equally impressive inside and you have to pay a small fee to see the best part.

Pleasant gardens outside and some unusual sculpture in the main street.
